Ohio Street Pizza King
Oshkosh, WI
Around that same time, someone at UW Oshkosh who also worked at Pizza King on Ohio Street kept telling me, over and over, that they had the best pizza in town. After hearing it enough times, I finally gave it a shot. Turns out she wasn't wrong. I may be one of their better free marketing voices. In my opinion, Ohio Street Pizza King isn't just better than Cranky's...it was twice as good. The crust. The sauce. The sausage. The price. The family atmosphere. Their story. The care they put into every pizza. For me, it's a 10/10. Ohio Street gives you the right amount of toppings. They are simply more generous, more consistent, and more satisfying. The crust has more depth — it's thicker without being heavy. The high heat creates a slight flake and crunch while still allowing you to bite through it cleanly and get some depth to it.
